How to cook steak?

I always season my steak with salt and pepper and just simmer it. Is ther any different ways to season it and cook it?How to cook steak?
I like to marinate mine for at least an hour before grilling. I use the following:

Oyster Sauce (found at Asian markets), Lime Juice, Sugar, MSG, Ginger, Garlic, Crushed Red Peppers, and Onion Powder.

I serve it with a few Thai hot peppers and some sticky rice.

MMMM good.How to cook steak?
I like steak best on the grill with Lowry's Seasoned Salt. Take it out of the fridge and let the meat sit on your counter with the seasoning on it for 20 minutes before putting it on the grill. Only flip it once when cooking, the more you flip a steak on the grill the more it dries out.
you can marinade it in whatever seasonings and liquids you like. i like to use crushed garlic, salt, fresh black pepper and a little olive oil for a few hours (sometimes i use soy sauce too). then i sear it in a HOT cast iron skillet on both sides. then i reduce the heat and throw in some sliced onions and mushrooms and put a top on it. i cook mine to its medium well. i let it cool on a plate for 10 minutes before cutting into it. it tastes pretty good.
I like to salt it, and add course-ground black pepper. Then I smear butter on both sides. then I grill it on both sides for about 3-5 minutes (depending on the thickness).

The butter helps to sear in the juices, because it burns so quickly.
stick it on a BBQ grill and season it!
Broil for 8-10 minutes per side cook it with cut up onions , mushrooms, and green peppers

hope those helped!
Season with garlic and onion powder then broil or grill 10 min on each side turning only once.
George Foreman grills are great and everything, and I use mine all the time in the winter, but there ain't nothin in the world that beats a meal cooked on an outside grill. No electrical appliance can give you that flavor.

My family loves the way I fix steaks.

Cut away excess fat. Season with pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and a little seasoning salt. Put a relatively thick layer of chili powder and pat it all so it sticks. Do the same thing on both sides.

Light charcoal in the grill (about five or six briquettes per steak) and when it is no longer in flames, and the briquettes have turned grey, arrange them in one layer. Put the steak on a greased grill rack and cover. Cook until it's done the way you like it (I like mine medium rare, my husband likes his almost burned), turning it halfway using long-handled tongs (not a fork).

While you have the grill going:

Slice an onion into thin rings or strips. Take a large sheet of sturdy aluminum foil and place the onion rings near the middle. Top it with several pats of butter. Fold the foil up to make a packet, folding all four edges several times to seal. Put the packet on the grill while the steak is cooking.

If fresh corn is in season (it is right now, and dirt cheap), take an ear of corn per person, and pull the husk down, but don't tear it away from the ear of the corn. Remove the silks and wash the corn. Mix softened butter with a little lime juice and some dill weed, basil, or even a dash of ground cayenne pepper. Spread the seasoned butter on the corn, and pull the husk back up over it. Tie it at the top using 100% cotton kitchen string or twine (I usually soak mine in water, first). Grill it, along with the steaks, for around half an hour.

Top your steak with the onions, have some hot grilled corn with extra butter on the side if you want it, and a salad or fresh fruit.
Yes! Get some montreal steak seasoning and dredge the steak into it. Leave it sit for a few hours at room temp. Then get the grill going and cook out! By the way, if you want a good steak, get Ribeyes or New York Strips, well marbled. 8-12 minute for medium rare, 12-14 minutes for medium, anything more and it is merely charred animal flesh!
Marinate with italian dressing for 30 mins and then cook on grill and brush with A-1 steak sauce as you cook it til its done to the temp you like. Very good. You can also use Montreal steak seasoning and cook on top of stove or grill.
marinade it w/ brown sugar %26amp; soy sauce %26amp; garlic then broil it OR rub butter worsteshire sauce salt %26amp; pepper %26amp; grill it
My wife makes a marinade using red wine, soy sauce, brown sugar and Lawry's seasoned pepper. We marinate a pair of ribeye's for an hour or as long as we can, the grill them over charcoal.

My wife likes her stake medium and I like mine rare, but with the fat crispy.
I like to marinade the steak first, I like to use minced garlic, onion, a little vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. You can grill it, pan fry or broil it in the oven. Broiling is when the heat is on top of the food.
My recommendation:

get a George Forman Grill. They are very convienent, easy to clean, and the food turns out yummy!! i made a steak on it 2 nights ago, leave it on the grill for about 5 minutes (or however you like it done) and take it off

seasoning:

a good seasoning for steak (my fav) is WEBER ';grind 'n grill'; chicago steak seasoning.hope it helps!!!
